NOAH traveled to Newcastle this week to play the 3A #8-ranked Racers.
The two teams are well-matched and Newcastle celebrated homecoming around the contest.
NOAH never trailed but found the Racers very tough to shake.
The game went to overtime and NOAH took the 4-down set “to the house”, scoring on a 3rd down run.
Senior stand-out RB, Eric Thornton was injured on the play and had to be pulled.
Jeremy Clark took the hand-off for a 3 yard extra-point run to make it an 8-point effort.
The Racers’ unrelenting power run offence scored in 3 downs, but the Jaguar defense toughened up to stop the 2-point conversion and secure the road win.
Next Week NOAH hosts Dallas HSAA homeschool.
NOAH improves to 4-3. The Jaguars are against state-ranked teams.
